The global pandemic has brought many changes to the way we work and do business. The virtual meeting is now here to stay, and with it comes an established acceptance to negotiate and close deals digitally and remotely. The Gartner Group predicts that by 2024, in-person meetings will drop from 60% of enterprise meetings to 25%, largely due to remote work and changing workplace demographics. “As IT leaders prepare for a mix of meeting modalities, it will be critical that they ensure equitable collaboration and tool and resource access for all meeting participants, regardless of location,” said Christopher Trueman, principal research analyst at Gartner. “Cloud-based meeting solutions and content service platforms can support this through offerings or integrations with technologies including ultra-secure virtual data rooms, e-signature signature solutions, virtual whiteboards, rich chat features, and recording and transcription capabilities.

While today’s hybrid and virtual M&A environment create challenges in completing deals, the digitization of the M&A process has significantly increased the speed, efficiency, security, and compliance aspects of dealmaking, whether across town or across continents.

This webinar will explore:

  • Challenges associated with completing M&A deals in the new hybrid environment
  • Opportunities to leverage technology to facilitate remote M&A and to maximize compliance and security
  • Global perspectives on closing cross-border M&A deals using "new tech" tools

“We have seen the cost efficiencies and speed of virtual M&A—and for those reasons, among others, I don’t think things will go back to the way they were,” said J. Neely, senior managing director and global M&A practice leader for Accenture. He noted several benefits of remote M&A dealmaking:

  • Gives capital markets executives the tools to progress through a myriad of discussions with ease and efficacy
  • Ensures all participants are equipped with the tools to navigate complex situations and to control the messages externally
  • Deals can progress quickly, helping parties navigate market volatility
  • Participants enjoy increased security, which builds confidence in the outcome of negotiations and goodwill to sustain ongoing relationships

In this webinar, moderator Jared Correia of Red Cave Law Firm Consulting leads a distinguished panel of experts to discuss the international M&A environment and the challenges and opportunities in deal closing. The webinar speaks to fund managers, general counsel, and investment bankers.
